Twenty-year-old Ben Hurst of Oakville, Ontario has wrapped up his Formula Ford testing program with Cliff Dempsey Racing in England and is looking forward to his upcoming season which kicks off after a few months break with the SCCA Majors at Virginia International Raceway next weekend.
“My time with Cliff Dempsey was really great. I learned a lot. The tracks over there were spectacular and I really would like to thank Cliff Dempsey and Brian Graham for putting this program together for me,” Hurst commented of his program in England.
“It was incredible to drive both Silverstone and Brands Hatch circuits, which are home to some of the world’s best Formula Ford racing, and I really hope to return to them at some point in the future. It gave me a lot of great practice which will be helpful heading into my busy season,” he added.
Looking ahead, Hurst kicks off his summer season by racing at Virginia International Raceway in the SCCA Majors which are being held from April 14th to April 16th. VIR is a totally new track for Hurst.
“VIR is a track that I haven’t been to before but with the experience I’ve had over the last year driving new tracks I feel ready to take on the challenge.”
